Research on Mechanical Fault Simulation and Diagnosis Technology of GW4 Disconnector

Abstract:Disconnectors are the mostly used high-voltage switchgear in power systems. Due to improper installation and debugging, loss of joint grease in the transmission mechanism, accumulation of foreign matter and dust, etc., the disconnector is prone to jammed faults. At present, there are few studies on the diagnosis of hidden mechanical faults of disconnectors, and there is no effective detection method. In this paper, a GW4A-126 disconnector is taken as the research object. The virtual prototype model is established, and the operating torque waveforms are calculated and analyzed in the condition of normal state, jammed state, three-phase position asynchrony. Thus, a mechanical fault diagnosis method for disconnector based on operating torque and the operating shaft rotation angle is proposed, and the feasibility of the method is verified by experiments. Based on this, a mechanical fault diagnosis process of disconnector based on operating torque-angle curve is summarized, which could provide reference for the installation, debugging and maintenance of disconnector.
