Influence of Load Characteristics of Three-Phase and Three Limbs Distribution Transformer on On-Line Detection of No-Load Loss

Abstract:No-load loss is one of the most important parameters of transformer. Aiming at the three-phase and three limbs small capacity distribution transformer, a method for on-line detection of its no-load loss is proposed in this paper and a mathematical model for the calculation of the no-load loss is established. The input and output current and voltage of the distribution transformer are collected on line, and the no-load loss of a certain capacity distribution transformer is accurately obtained through the data fitting calculation. Then the finite element analysis is carried out to verify the feasibility of the mathematical model. Finally, considering the influence of load characteristics on the accuracy of on-line detection of no-load loss, the sources of error are analyzed. The research contents in this paper provide a reference for on-line detection of transformer rated capacity.
