An Online Detection and Locating Method for Spacecraft Bus Faults

Abstract:Aiming at the spacecraft bus fault online detection and locating problem,an online detection method with high locating accuracy based on the spread spectrum time domain reflectometry (SSTDR) is built.Firstly,the locating error of the SSTDR is analyzed.By increasing the sample frequency of the detection system,the location error can be reduced to be within ±0.2 m,which can meet the fault locating demand for the short distance bus.Then,the problem of wrong detection results caused by the mismatched source impedance is analyzed furtherly when using the SSTDR method.By adding a trapper to prevent the signal from spreading to the power supply side,the influence of the mismatched source impedance is eliminated and the correctness of the bus fault detection is guaranteed.The experimental results show that the adopted method can realize accurate online detection and locating for bus open-circuit and short-circuit faults.
