Abstract:Dielectric loss angle is an important index to reflect the insulation condition of capacitive electric equipment. Based on matrix pencil algorithm, a novel method is proposed to detect dielectric loss angle online. The method processes the functions of both fundamental harmonic parameter extraction and noise suppression. It can accurately extract the initial phases of the fundamental voltage and current signal, to realize the accurate detection of dielectric loss angle. Simulation results show that the change of some parameters has little influence on the proposed method, such as signal frequency, 3rd and 5th harmonics, direct current bias, real value of dielectric loss angle, sampling frequency and sampling points, and so on. When the signal-to-noise ratio is not lower than 25dB, no need to preprocess the original data, the proposed method can achieve higher measurement precision with fast detecting speed. Simulation results also show the feasibility and effectiveness of the method.
