Analysis of Voltage Fragility Area Based on the Stability Influence Index

Abstract:Under given operation modes of power systems, to ascertain the fragility area of voltage stability in the network structure, a stability influence (SI) index considering the dynamic impedance matrix and the corresponding analytical method, is put forward in this paper, based on the dynamic analysis theory of non-analytical. The proposed nodal point SI index and power network SI index can not only reflect the degree of disturbance impacts on node voltage and network voltage, but also be used to quantitatively analyze the electric coupling relationships and its dominant factors between different areas in the network. This index indicating the complex electric coupling relationships between areas, and proving that the area whose network voltage impacts most is the fragility area of voltage stability in the network structure under the current operation mode. Finally, simulation results of the IEEE 39 node system and an actual power system verify the effectiveness and correctness of the proposed analytical method.
