Abstract:Linear permanent magnet vernier (LPMV) motor has the advantages like high efficiency,low cost,high thrust force.Therefore,it is suitable for application of rail traffic with a long stoke.However,position sensor installed along the track costs too much.In the paper,the mover position estimated method based on stator back EMF is researched to reach sensorless control.Estimated mover position is calculated by stator flux angle min using load angle.Estimated mover speed is estimated by a phase locked loop (PLL) with estimated mover position inputted.The simulation and experiment is carried out based on system of LPMV motor.The results show that there is a high accuracy of estimation when speed of the prototype in the range from 0 to 1.5 m/s,mover position estimation is in error within plus and minus 5°,mover speed estimation is in error within plus and minus 0.01 m/s.Simulation and experiment results verify the feasibility and practicality of the mover position estimated method based on stator back electromotive force (EMF).
