Abstract:Traditional transmission system of bridge crane consists of motor, coupling, reducer and reel, which makes transmission system complex, noisy , and poor impact resistance. Integrated with the operation characteristics of bridge crane, this paper focuses on the design of slim outer rotor permanent magnet motor(ORPM), especially the influence of pole-slot combination, air gap length, flux leakage coefficient and other parameters. The structure put forward in this paper realized the integration of the motor and the reel, which realized small volume, simple structure, low noise, strong controllability, electricity saving and material economy. Meanwhile, the temperature field and electromagnetic field of the ORPM are analyzed. Finally, the feasibility and validity of the proposed design method is verified by the live test of a 30t bridge crane.
