No-Load Characteristic Analysis of Surface-Mounted Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor with Non-Concentric Pole Based on Hybrid Magnetic Field Analysis Method

Abstract:In order to effectively optimize pole shape and reduce waveform total harmonics distortions (THD) of air-gap magnetic flux density for surface-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor (SPMSM), this paper proposes a nonlinear hybrid magnetic field analytical method for SPMSM with non-concentric pole. Firstly, an analytical model of magnetic field is established based on subdomain analysis method, and an equivalent magnetic network model is established considering the nonlinear permeability change of the iron core. According to B-H curve of ferromagnetic materials, the relative permeability of core is calculated at any time, and the correction factor is obtained by iterative calculation to consider the influence of the core reluctance on the no-load characteristics. Based on the hybrid analytical model, the air-gap magnetic flux density and line no-load back electromotive force (EMF) are analyzed. And the size parameters of pole structure are optimized. Finally, a 8-pole 36-slot SPMSM is designed and manufactured. The effectiveness of proposed analytical method is verified by finite-element method (FEM) and experimental test.
