Abstract:Traditional islanding detection methods are mostly based on the grid-connected inverters with constant power control and current control. With the continuous development of other control strategies such as droop control and the wide application of multi-machine grid-connected inverters, the effectiveness of traditional islanding detection methods has been challenged. It is necessary to find a more versatile detection method for the development of distributed generation systems. An island detection method based on P-f active power loop phase angle cluster perturbation is proposed for droop control strategy. According to the summation of harmonic amplitudes extracted by Goertzel algorithm, island detection is carried out. With enhanced anti-interference ability, this method can be effectively applied to droop control grid-connected inverters, and can detect islands without blind area, which is suitable for multi-machine. Finally, based on the three-phase grid-connected inverters, simulation and experimental platforms are established to verify the correctness and superiority of the active islanding detection method for phase angle cluster perturbation.
