Magnetic Field Analysis and Torque Calculation of Hybrid Drive Type Permanent Magnet Three-Degree-of-Freedom Motor

Abstract:To improve the structure and torque characteristics of current three-DOF PM motor, a new type of hybrid drive type permanent magnet three-DOF motor was presented, which can solve the problem of low deflecting torque that can not afford a heavy load. The spin rotating torque characteristics were further optimized improving the ability of starting with heavy load. Based on the introduction of the structure and working principle of this motor, the magnetic field and torque were modeled and analyzed with the analytic method and finite element method,the two methods were compared to prove themselves. The results show that the calculating results of analytic method and finite element method are identical, and prove the effectiveness of the analytical models, verify the good rotation and yaw torque characteristics of the motor, which provides the references for further design and optimization of this kind of motors.
