Abstract:A fractional slot concentrated winding low harmonic permanent magnet motor is investigated in this paper. The special winding structure of the motor is presented and the principle of reducing the MMF harmonic at the normal operation is analyzed. And a fault-tolerance control strategy is proposed for the motor under the open circuit fault, in which smooth output torque and lower harmonic effect are used as constraint conditions. Finally, simulation and experiments verify the effectiveness of the proposed fault-tolerant control strategy.
