Abstract:Based on the theories of electromagnetics and heat transfer, 3D calculation model of temperature rise for dry-type air-core reactor is established, The effect of star-type frame loss on hot spot temperature of the encapsulations is considered at the first time. The heat sources of encapsulations and star-type frames are computed by loss separation method, the finite volume method is applied to solve the fluid field and temperature field of the reactor directly, the temperature distribution characteristics are acquired, and the axial and radial temperature distributions of encapsulations are analyzed and summarized. The calculation results show that the loss of star-type frame is 3.7% of the encapsulation loss, the influence of star-type frame loss on the hot spot temperature of the encapsulations is about 3 K. Finally, the accuracy of the temperature field calculation is verified by temperature rise test of the reactor, that provides a theoretical basis and references for temperature rise calculation and monitoring of dry-type air-core reactor.
