Abstract:The key difference of the laser triggered vacuum switch (LTVS) and the electrical triggered vacuum switch (ETVS) is the different triggering way.Because the initial plasma is generated by using the laser to irradiate the target material within the LTVS,different target materials may have different impacts on the triggered characteristics of the LTVS.Three laser wavelengths,i.e.1064nm,532 nm and 266 nm,are used to test the triggered characteristics of the target materials.On the whole,the conduction time delay is decreased with the increase of the laser energy.
