Abstract:For a disk-type contra-rotating permanent magnet synchronous motor (CR-PMSM), when the dynamic master-slave control method with sliding mode speed controller is employed,there are two problems: the rotor has poor robustness when sudden load variation is large, and the speed pulsation of slave rotor are large when the load torque is severely unbalanced. Therefore, a novel dual-rotor direct torque control strategy with load torque compensation is proposed in the paper. The strategy realizes the direct torque control of dual rotor. Meanwhile, two sliding mode observers are applied to observe load torque of dual rotor, then the values of observers are made feedforward compensation to the system. The experimental results of the prototype show that the proposed method improves the above problems compared with the dynamic master-slave control with sliding mode speed controller. Specifically, the robustness of the rotor is improved when sudden load changes are large, and in the heave unbalanced load torque case, dual rotor of CR-PMSM can synchronously track for a given speed under the conditions of basically no pulsation.
