Abstract:The fault tolerant flux switching permanent magnet (FTFSPM) machine has the advantages of high torque density and high reliability, therefore, it is suitable for the electric actuation system of all electric/more electric aircraft power system. The dynamic performance of the speed is affected by the PI parameters of the speed loop under the open-circuit condition in the traditional control strategy, hence, a torque impulse balance control is proposed in this paper. Based on the principle that the value of the torque impulse is balanced, the response time of the forward and backward vector can be calculated during the dynamic process. The speed convergence is obtained by accelerating and decelerating the speed only once, which will not be influenced by the PI parameters, thus the dynamic performance of the speed can be improved. Finally, the torque impulse balance control and the conventional direct torque control strategy are compared by simulation and experiment, and the results illustrate the validity and effectiveness of the torque impulse balance control under the one phase open-circuit fault operation.
