Research on Bias Control of 3 Phase-1 Phase Matrix Converter Based on Model Predictive Control

Abstract:In this paper, a model predictive control with transformer DC magnetic bias suppression is proposed to reduce the poor disturbance resistance caused by the middle side of the Reduced matrix converter (3-1MC) without energy storage capacitor. The randomness of the model predictive control switch is easy to cause the transformer DC magnetic bias. Under the premise of not changing the hardware circuit, two schemes are introduced in the model predictive control pulse sequence distribution link or the quality function by the magnetic bias suppression. A prototype is built to verify the scheme, and the experimental results show that the 3-1MC system has strong anti-interference ability under the model predictive control. The scheme 1 improves the magnetic bias phenomenon, and the scheme 2 can effectively solve the magnetic bias problem of transformer under the model predictive control.
