Abstract:The optimal parameter matching method for HEV base on electric variable transmission(EVT) has been studied in this paper. Essentially, EVT is as same as the Prius THS which belongs to power spit devices using double motors. The degree of hybridization (DOH) definition of EVT based hybrid vehicle as well as the method of minimizing EVT power is derived to minize the power of inner and outter motor when vehicle performance is satisfied. It is proved in this paper that EVT is favored in the full-hybrid application. Simulaiton result shows that perfermance of EVT based HEV designed as the proposed method is equivalent to a Prius.
