Abstract:In this paper, a kind of optimal control strategy for hybrid electrical vehicle (HEV) internal combustion engine(ICE) based on electrical variable transmission(EVT) is proposed. Firstly, the mathematic model of dual mechanical-port electrical machine (DMPEM) is discussed; then, on the basis of an experimental platform, several tests are done. The results show the feasibility of the control strategy. Also, the power management algorithm of vehicle is discussed; several working conditions are analyzed and control strategies are proposed. Experiments which simulate different working conditions are done; the results prove the validity of the algorithm.
