Abstract:Interval arithmetic has been successfully applied to uncertain power flow analysis for power systems. However, interval power flow analysis methods based on the interval iterative method have embedded the interval computation into Newton iterative process, which makes complex calculation procedure and huge computational load. In this paper, the interval method based on interval Taylor expansion is proposed to solve the uncertain power flow problem. According to the established interval power flow mathematical model with interval variables, the solution of nonlinear algebraic equations with interval variables, which is defined in rectangular coordinate system, is equivalently transformed into three sets of certain equations by using interval Taylor expansion method. The test results show that the proposed method has higher computational accuracy than the interval iterative method. Compared with the interval iterative method and Monte Carlo simulation method, the proposed method can obtain a better acceleration effect.
