Abstract:A DC biased magnetic field would increase the core loss of the power transformer, cause local overheating of the transformer and make the aging of the insulating material, which affects the normal operation of the transformer. In order to calculate the loss of iron core under DC bias more accurately, this paper analyzes the magnetic characteristics and loss characteristics of DC bias magnetization of electrical steel sheet by means of the Epstein frame experimental test. Based on the traditional Steinmetz loss formula, the variables coefficient Steinmetz method is proposed and the DC bias loss coefficient g is defined to describe the effect of DC bias on the loss. Then, based on the surface response model with the radial basis function, the response surface taking the relationship between the DC bias loss coefficient and the biased magnetic field and alternating magnetic flux density into is constructed. Finally, the validity of the model is verified by comparison with experimental data.
