Abstract:Short circuit failure is one of possible errors when motor works.In the condition of short circuit,the short-circuit current and the missing health current have effects on motor performance,such as asymmetric operation,torque ripples and speed volatility.The fault-tolerant algorithms based on direct torque control shows good dynamic performance,however,these algorithms are unable to suppress the short circuit-current ripple effectively.In this paper,a feed-forward compensation algorithm is proposed to weaken the turbulent effect on motor,by compensating the torque produced by short circuit current.Experiments are taken on the prototype machine of 6/19 fault-tolerant flux-switching permanent magnet (FTFSPM) motor to verify the fault-tolerant algorithm.
