Abstract:This paper proposes a stand-alone wind generation system with hybrid energy storage. The proposed hybrid energy storage, which uses battery and hydrogen, enables the stand-alone wind generation system to achieve autonomous operation and zero emission. Furthermore, an optimal energy management method and a complete system sizing method are proposed for the system to optimize its operation and configuration. A case study with simulation results is provided to show the rationality and validity of the proposed system and its corresponding optimization method.
