Abstract:In the existing inductive contactless power transfer (ICPT) system, the parameters design process of the unity power factor receiver needs repeated simulation iterations. The design process is complex. In order to solve the above problems, an approximate analytic method is proposed to solve the parameters design of the unity power factor ICPT system receiver. Based on the analysis of the working state of the rectifier which connected the critical conduction mode (CRM) LCL resonant converter, a mathematical model of the input voltage and current of the LCL resonant converter is proposed in the form of differential equation. And the fundamental voltage value of the parallel resonant capacitor of the LCL resonant converter is used to approximate its actual voltage value. The proposed method can be used to calculate the equivalent inductance and equivalent resistance of the rectifier which connected CRM LCL resonant converter. Then, the parameters design method of CRM LCL resonant converter is put forward, which makes the CRM LCL resonant converter work in close to unity power factor state. Finally, a prototype of 2kW ICPT system is built. The feasibility and correctness of the proposed method are verified by experiments.
