Abstract:Based on the relationship of multilevel SVM and carrier-based PWM, this paper analyzed the common-mode parts of the modulated waves of two-level SVM and three-level SVM. It is proposed that the common-mode part of two-level SVM's modulated waves is just the zero-order part of three phase system. The zero-order part of the most popular SVM is the same as the one which injected in the modulated waves of SFO-PWM. But the three-level SVM's modulated waves include some other common-mode parts which exist in two modulated-cells of each phase. Then a particular carrier-based PWM of three-level inverter based on two times of common-mode part injections is proposed in this paper, which could be equivalent to three-level SVM completely. Finally, simulations and experiments verify the validity of the proposed method.
