Abstract:In this paper,anovel five level inverteris discussed.The operation principle is analyzed firstly.A new modulation strategy is proposed to suppress the common-mode voltage according to the switching states.The strategy is able to eliminate the common-mode voltage (CMV) and balance of the voltage over the capacitor.Finally,simulations and performance comparisons of the conventional and proposed modulation strategies are carried out in MATLAB/Simulink.The results verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.
