Abstract:Traditional PV systems always suffer mismatched issues, resulting in disproportionate impacts on energy generation. Distributed maximum power point tracking (DMPPT) PV system, is hereby proposed to solve such problem. To study the smart panel based DMPPT PV system, this paper proposes a new system structure. The relationship among the irradiance case, voltage limit and current limit of the PV optimizer is also analyzed. With the proposed structure, each panels under mismatched cases can work on its independent maximum power point, so a better performances of the PV system can be guaranteed. The new system structure improves the power generation of the PV system in real case effectively, especially in higher voltage bus system. Finally the efficiency of the proposed new DMPPT PV system is verified by experiments.
