Abstract:The result of the fault analysis and the evaluation of protection action characteristic would be affected by imprecise short-circuit current calculations.The previous studies did not consider the type diversity of the wind turbines and couldn’t accurately describe the fault transient process of the wind farm.In this paper,the influence of the control strategy to the fault transient process is considered.The equivalent models of the doubly-fed induction generator (DFIG) and the permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG) are established.By the aggregation equivalent method,the wind farm equivalent model with multi-type wind turbines is put forward.Then the change law of the short circuit current during the fault is analyzed and the short-circuit current calculation method of the hybrid wind farm is given.Based on RTDS (real time digital simulator) the experiment platform with multi-type wind turbines is set up and the proposed short-circuit current calculation method is validated.Moreover the fault analysis method of the power grid with wind farm is analyzed.
