Abstract:This paper explores a configuration for modular inverter systems, namely, input-series output-series (ISOS) connected inverters system, which is suitable for high-input-voltage and high-output-voltage applications. The control objective of this configuration is to realize input voltage balancing and output voltage balancing. On the basis of the existed centralized control theory, a novel distributed control strategy is proposed to settle the input and output voltage balancing problem. Compared with the centralized control strategy, the distributed control strategy scatters three control loops in each module and all the modules communicate with each other through buses. Then each module in the system works independently and full modularity is achieved. The principle of the control method is elaborated and the experimental results are presented to verify the theoretical analysis.
