Performance Analysis of Novel Low-Voltage Power Line Communication Model

Abstract:To enhance the reliability of narrowband power line communication (PLC) over low-voltage networks, a novel PLC model based on artificial cobweb is proposed in this paper. Firstly the characteristics of new model and the transformational process from physical topology of low voltage distribution network to artificially cobweb logical topology are thoroughly discussed, and networking algorithm and routing reconstruction algorithm are proposed. Then two-state transition Markov model is used to simulate a terminal node. Furthermore, the time delay characteristic of new algorithm is calculated and analyzed by modeling. The simulation results indicate that the novel network model has advantage in improving communication reliability of PLC networks.
