Influence Analysis of Metal in the Same Plane with Pickup Coil on Magnetic Coupler and Suppression Method

Abstract:Aiming at the eddy current loss and system detuning caused by the metal on the pickup coil plane in the magnetic coupler of MC-WPT system, disciplines that describe the influences on coupler parameters and MC-WPT system caused by different material, size and position of metal are given. Metal influences on coupler parameters and MC-WPT system are analyzed by modeling and simulation. A kind of magnetic coupler based on the influence disciplines that actively suppresses the influence caused by metal in the same plane with pickup coil is proposed, and its parameter design method is given. Finally, simulation and experiment results verify the correctness and effectiveness of the proposed coupler and its parameter design method.
