Abstract:This paper introduced a method to deliver power and information for the semi- conductor laser driving power supply of laser energy transmission system s applied in middle-size and small-size spy planes. It analyzed how to superpose the pulse current onto the constant current to transmit power and instruction signal simultaneously. By the parallel structure of the constant-current converter and the bidirectional converter, the inductor current of the bidirectional converter can quickly trace the instruction while maintaining the maximum efficiency. The bidirectional converter chose the simple buck/boost topology to generate the needed positive or negative pulse current, and taken the communicational signal as reference, applied voltage loop and current loop control strategy to change the output current as the signal changed. At last, a prototype was built in the lab which validated the theoretical analysis and the feasibility of the method.
