Abstract：In order to fully dig out the dielectric response information and better quantitatively evaluate the moisture content in the oil-paper insulation, the variation characteristics of DH parameters with moisture content were analyzed and an effective method for moisture quantitative evaluation was proposed based on the Dissado-Hill (DH) dielectric response model. Five kinds of oil paper board samples with different moisture content were prepared and tested firstly. The dielectric response curves of oil paper insulation with different moisture content were obtained, and the influence of moisture content from 10-3Hz to 103Hz on FDS characteristics is analyzed. The parameter curves were analyzed and fitted, the changing rule and reason of each DH parameter with the moisture content were analyzed, the DH characteristic parameters were found, and the mapping relationship between the DH parameters and the moisture content was established. Finally, according to the characteristic parameters G1, G2, G, Sχ and ωc which have strong correlation with moisture, a moisture evaluation method of oil paper insulation based on DH characteristic parameters is proposed and verified, which can provide a basis for further quantitative evaluation of oil-paper insulation moisture.
