Abstract:Three-level VSVPWM algorithm will produce narrow pulse in certain region of the space vector diagram. Switching loss and harmonics will increase when narrow pulse appears. Firstly, the distribution region about narrow pulse of three-level VSVPWM algorithm is analyzed theoretically. Then, a narrow pulse suppression algorithm is proposed. In the region where narrow pulse appears, the sequence and the segment of switching vector are optimized and adjusted according to the basic allocation principle of switching vector. Most of the narrow pulses are avoided without affecting the synthesis of space vector. Simulation and experimental results verify theoretical analysis.
