Open-End Winding Motor Field-Weaken Control Strategy of Dual 3L-Neutral Point Clamped Based on Back-Electromotive Force Harmonic Voltage

The motor converter control strategy of dual 3L-NPC open-end winding motor is proposed with back-electromotive force harmonic voltage. Firstly, the mathematic model of open-end wind PMSG is established. The value and phase of back-electromotive force harmonic is observed by PR regulator, and the zero sequence current is suppressed by adding the same value and phase zero voltage to the modulation waves. The field-weaken control with the back-electromotive force harmonic voltage is analyzed, and comparisons of the field-weaken range under different modulation strategies are presented. With the certain EMF value and phase, the modulation strategy for boarding the field-weaken range is acquired, so that the motor can work at a higher speed.
