Abstract:Voltage is an important index of weighing the quality of electric energy. The balance of no reactive power determines the voltage level of power system. With the popularity of low voltage distribution network and the adding of nonlinear impact load gradually, the power distribution network power quality has been seriously affected, which need for the power grid reactive power compensation. SVG can adapt to modern power systems impact load increasing trend. The regulating speed of SVG is faster and the operating range is wider. It takes multiple, multi-level or PWM technology which can greatly reduce the compensation current harmonic content. The core of modern SVG is IGBT devices. The life of IGBT determines the reliability of SVG. This paper presents a driver protection circuit of IGBT. you can enable the IGBT power grid environment to adapt to the requirements superior.
