Abstract

The access of high-permeabilitydistributed photovoltaic (DPV) has brought new technical challenges to the operation and control of distribution network. Soft open point (SOP), a typicalflexible interconnection equipment that can replace traditional interconnection switch, is capable of accurate control of power flow between feeders and dynamic reactive power compensation. It provides a new way to improve the operation level of distribution network with high permeability photovoltaic. However, at present, the cost of SOP is still high, so it is necessary to study the coordinated operation strategy of SOP and traditional grid-side control equipment, and realize the economic and efficient operation of distribution network at multiple time scales. Hence this paper proposes a day-ahead and intra-day optimization model of flexible interconnected distribution system with self-energy storage based on the grid-side resource coordination.
Firstly, a multi-time scale optimization control structure for coordinated utilization of multiple gird-side resources under 'source-network-load-storage' is proposed. Secondly, in day-ahead stage, this paper proposes a long time-scale active and reactive power coordinated optimization model considering on-load tap changer (OLTC), reactive power compensation devices, interconnection switches, E-SOP and flexible load (FL). In intra-day stage, it proposes a multi-objective rolling optimization model. And the model is transformed into a mixed integer linear programming model by using linearization techniques. Then, the fuzzy set of source and load uncertainties is established based on KL divergence, and the transformation process of two-stage distributionally robust optimization (DRO) model and the solutionmethod based on column and constraint generation (C&CG) algorithm for the day-ahead stage are given. Andtheidealpointmethodis adopted tosolvemulti-objective intra-daymodel.
The numerical results show that, in the day-ahead stage, the coordinated optimization of E-SOP, OLTC and network reconfiguration is better for reducing the operation cost, and OLTC has better effect on network loss optimization than network reconfiguration. In addition, the utilization of DRO method can take into account the economy and robustness of the day-ahead optimization scheme.In the intra-day stage, the network loss value and voltage deviation of the multi-objective optimization are between the optimization results of the two single-objective optimizations, which can ensure that the distribution network has better economy and security.The operation strategy of rapid control equipment is optimized at 15min intervals. SOP can quickly transfer the active power between feeders to optimize the power flow and voltage of distribution network, and cooperate with SVC to provide reactive power support; Energy storage charging and discharging and FL reduction response can also reduce network loss and improve voltage distribution.
The following conclusions can be drawn from the study: (1) The day-ahead and intra-day optimization based on the grid-side resource coordination can give full play to the fast and slow regulation characteristics of the grid side control equipment, and improve the operation efficiency of the distribution network; (2) In the day-ahead stage, the total operation cost of coordinated optimization of E-SOP, OLTC and network reconfiguration is about 8.0% lower than that of E-SOP alone; (3) In the intra-day stage, multi-objective rolling optimization can take into account the network loss and voltage optimization, and can obtain more accurate operation strategies of various rapid control equipment.
This paper only aims at the coordinated utilization of grid-side resources in the day-ahead and intra-day stage. The next step is to research on the multi-time scale operation optimization of ‘day-ahead optimization, intra-day rolling and real-time correction'.
