Abstract  Abstract Utilizing high frequency finite element simulation software and combining with the characteristics of wireless power transfer (WPT) technique, the key parameters extraction and the simulation method are proposed in this paper, based on port impedance analysis for the single self-resonance coil and two-port network equivalent model for coupled coils respectively. The practical coil is measured as a reference to verify the simulation result. Moreover, the impedance split characteristic has been studied in order to propose the calculation method for the coupling factor.Such work can provide the ideas of the coil design used in WPT system.
