Abstract The flexible controlling of battery energy storage system is very suitable for the load shifting of power system. Based on the load forecasting, a threshold value considering power equalization can be set to determine the charging and discharging state of the storage system. However, the capacity of the storage system is limited in practice. So the scheme based on a single threshold value can be improved as a load interval. Once the running state of the system is determined, the value of real-time power exchange can be timeshare segment matched. Since there must be a deviation between real-time load and load forecasting, an adjustment method considering the predictive power of the storage system is proposed. The effectiveness and continuity of the scheme are verified by simulation.
