Abstract  The evaporative cooling technology of electrical equipment and electronic appliance is China’s innovative technology with fully independent intellectual property rights.From theoretical exploration, pilotscale experiments, to industrial applications, this technology has been experiencing 50-years development and has made a lot of achievements in the field of electrical engineering applications.This paper emphasely introduces the applications of this technology in the field of hydraulic generation, large-scale scientific research appliance, and electronic equipment.In view of its characteristics of high-efficient heat-transfer, reliable operation, and low power consumption, it has broad application prospects in the field of pump-storage units, high-power density data centers, and high voltage DC transmission.
