Constant Current Charging Characteristic Analysis of Storage Capacitor Based on BP Neural Network PID Control for Permanent Magnet Vacuum Switch

Abstract  A kind of BP neural network PID control method for breaking and making storage capacitor charging problem of permanent magnet(PM) vacuum switch was proposed, which realized the intelligent constant current charging of breaking and making storage capacitor and made the storage capacitor match with the PM vacuum switch performance well. The 4-5-3 BP neural network structure was constructed and a mathematical model of BP neural network PID control was built. The whole simulation model of constant current charging control system was set up based on which the entire process of constant current charging was simulated, simulated results coincide with experimental ones well. The experimental results show that the charging current can be dynamically adjusted by adopting the BP neural network PID control technology so as to realize the constant current charging of breaking and making storage capacitor and the working lifetime and reliability of storage capacitor can be effectively improved.
