Abstract:Based on the principle of reactive power compensation and harmonic control in power system, the application of the traditional harmonic current detection method based on instantaneous reactive power theory is briefly analyzed, and then the principle of load current waveform and phase control is proposed to achieve a variety of nonlinear, inductive, resistive capacitive load conversion to pure resistive load. what′s more, a new method of compensation current detection based on instantaneous voltage vector orientation is described in detail. The new method overcomes the shortcomings of the traditional method that the current can′t follow the grid voltage waveform when the power system voltage distortion is compensated, and averts the phenomenon that the compensation current is too large and the distortion reactive power is sent back to the grid. Meanwhile the method has the advantages of automatic frequency trace and phase sequence self-adaptation. Finally, The superiority of the new method is verified by the simulation and the prototype experiment.
