Inductance Parameters Identification Algorithms of IPMSM under Rotating State Taking Magnetic Circuit Saturation into Account

Abstract:The accurate mathematical model and parameters of an IPMSM (Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor) are the basis which is required for high performance control.The steady-state and dynamic performance of an IPMSM are greatly affected by d-axis and q-axis inductance.For an IPMSM,inductance is not only influenced by the salient pole structure,but also by factors like the magnetic circuit saturation and so on.Moreover,considering the influence of magnetic circuit saturation effect and cross coupling effect caused by the stator current,novel d-axis and q-axis inductance identification algorithms based on vector control technique,namely d-axis composite current excitation algorithm and torque adjustment algorithm,are proposed in this paper.The inductance identification procedure is implemented under rotating state of an IPMSM.Furthermore,in order to improve accuracy of inductance identification results,a compensation strategy based on phase voltage error curve is used to compensate the output voltage error caused by nonlinear factors of an inverter.Finally,inductance identification experiments have been made on an IPMSM control platform,and the feasibility and availability of identification algorithms proposed are validated by experimental results.
