Abstract:According to the properties of flux-weakening control in the high speed region for hybrid excitation synchronous machine, the relations of current variation during speed regulating on the condition of keep running smoothly are deduced;then, a fuzzy control with particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm for current regulating is proposed. The proposed method abides by the basic principle as follows: when the HESM runs in transient process, its currents are regulated by fuzzy controller, which makes it accelerate start-up process or operational state transition. When it reaches steady state, PSO algorithm is adopted for current optimization with the goal of copper losses minimization, which fulfills the efficiency optimization control for the HESM. The effectiveness of the proposed method is proved by the simulation and experimental results.
