Abstract:The accuracy of the permanent magnet synchronous motor initial angle detection is the decisive factor for starting torque value and starting it successfully. Based on the analysis of the inductor saturation effect, the paper proposes the voltage vector method of the rotor initial position angle detection of surface mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor. To deal with the problem of low accuracy and unreliability in the traditional detection method of voltage vector, the reverse direction inductance to add constraints when handling the second wave of voltage vector is used, and proposed increasing the action time of voltage vector to increase the peak current after the second wave of voltage vector. By enhancing the effect of demagnetization and enlarging the differences of each vector current, it finally improves the reliability of initial angle detection. The experimental results verify the feasibility and effectiveness of analysis and design. It shows that the detection method can not only guarantee the rotor static, but also improve reliability greatly and accuracy increased from 7.5°to 1.8°for initial position detection, so it has the great value of practical engineering.
