Abstract:Voltage-controlled modulation research of matrix converter (MC) is discussed in this paper based on duty-cycle space vector (DCSV) theory. To discuss the relationship among several modulation methods, DCSV theory is introduced to calculate general expression of duty-cycle and geometrical notation and characteristic of DCSV is deeply studied. Zero-sequence vector is researched which has much influence on phase output voltage, line output, set ratio and switching times. The duty-cycles are decomposed and recomposed to obtain space vector modulation (SVM) which has 7 duty-cycles corresponding to 3 zero vector states and 4 stationary vector states. This modulation based on DCSV theory is equal to the traditional SVM. The relationship among AV method, optimal AV method, double line voltage synthesis method and SVM is analyzed by the simulation results at last.
