Parameters Determination and Electromagnetic Field Analysis of Canned Solid-Rotor Induction Motor (4): Equivalent Parameters Calculation by Finite Element Method and Its Verification

Abstract:As the last paper of series, this paper propose a research on electromagneitc field of canned solid-rotor induction motor (CSRIM) using time-harmonic finite element analysis (FEA). The equivalent parameters analysis method of stator side is built by frozen permeability method, fourier analysis and vector graph. The poynting vector is used to calculate rotor equivalent parameters with complex structure. Then, operating performances of motor are calculated by equivalent circuit method. The equivalent circuit of CSRIM are the simplified equivalent circuit built in second paper and the practical equivalent circuit derived in the third paper of series. Finally, calculation results are compared with the calculation result of finite element analysis, and also the test result.
