Hardware-In-Loop Real-Time Simulation and Test Bench for Electrical Vehicle |

Abstract The permanent magnet motor for electrical vehicle has high power density and nonlinear parameters. Based on the FPGA chip,the paper presents a nonlinear model of permanent magnet motor. The FPGA chip is connected to a real controller,and constructs the hardware in loop real time simulation bench(HIL-bench). The motor/generator bench (M/G-bench),with two real permanent magnet motors of electrical vehicle is also present. And experimental results are compared between HIL-bench and M/G-bench. The speed range in test changes from the standstill to high-speed weakening area,and torque range in test changes from no-load to the rated load. The contrast results show that the HIL-bench simulation step is 1μs,and the average error between two bench reach 4.15%.
