Abstract:A hybrid photovoltaic-fuel cell (HPVFC ) power system is proposed in this paper to integrate the photovoltaic generation and the fuel cell generation. It is composed of a solar cell, a fuel cell and a double-input Buck DC/DC converter (DIBC). An energy management strategy for the HPVFC power system based on the DIBC is proposed to exploit the output power of the solar cell as much as possible. The simulation model of the HPVFC power system is built in software SaberTM and the prototype of the power system is fabricated. Simulation results and experimental results are shown to verify the operating principle of DIBC and the effectiveness of the energy management strategy.
