Abstract:In this paper,a direct torque control using super twisting algorithm is proposed for voltage source inverter(VSI)-permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM)drive system.The principles of sliding mode control,direct torque control,and space vector modulation are combined to ensure high performance operation,both in the steady state and under transient conditions in this approach with approximately constant switching frequency.It solves the problems of poor robustness in direct torque control with space vector modulation(DTC-SVM)controlled by proportional plus integral controller and chattering in DTC-SVM controlled by slide mode controller.The experiment verified that the proposed method could decrease flux and torque ripples and be robust to parameter variation.
