Abstract:The energy model of Boost converter in discontinuous conduction mode (DCM) is proposed in this paper. Comparing the output voltage of PWM converter based on the presented energy model and those in reference papers, it is proved that the energy model is correct. The stability of PSM converters is also analyzed based on the energy model. According to the deduction and simulation, it is shown that although bifurcations are also happened for PSM converter, chaos will not be occurred for PSM converter in DCM. Moreover, the bifurcation rules of PSM converter and the boundary resistances of bifurcations are also given in this paper.
